Synopsis

Cycle “A música vinha duma mansidão de consciência”

Raquel Martins has London as her home and the world as her stage. Her music blends the electronic with the organic, the vulnerable with the muscular, in a signature sound that’s been recognised by the likes of Gilles Peterson, KCRW, Jamie Cullum, BBC Introducing, and Clash. Born in Porto, Martins has performed at Coreto Nos Alive and Matosinhos em Jazz. In 2025, she released her debut album, an intimate alt-pop of drum machines, soft grooves, and nylon guitars that conveys emotional turbulence and silent transformation.

Somewhere between Buenos Aires, Porto, and a window seat on a London-Barcelona flight connection, Sebastián Mayor has built a warm musical home that blends bossa nova with minimalist grooves, crooner-style vocals, and Latin percussion for an understated sound that has already amassed millions of streams online. He burst onto the London music scene in 2024, opening for Gilsons at the Jazz Café, performing at EFG London Jazz Festival, and selling out shows in Portugal and Argentina.

Together, Raquel Martins and Sebastián Mayor offer an evening of musical chemistry, where jazz, soul, alt-pop, and Latin American rhythms meet to deliver an intimate, sophisticated, and deeply human concert.
