The information desk can be found near the entrance to the building that houses both the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library and the Porto Municipal Gallery. Here, you’ll be provided information about the programme, event rules and available infrastructure, as well as logistical support.

Yes, admission to the Feira do Livro do Porto 2026 is free, although access is subject to venue capacity. For some activities, participants may be required to collect free tickets from the information desk at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library. This must be done three hours before the start of the session and is limited to two tickets per person, subject to the room’s capacity.
The event will feature 134 organisations, including 111 bookstores and 23 second-hand book sellers.
The Book of the Day is a featured book selected daily by the Feira to promote reading and meetings with authors. It must be sold at a minimum discount of 40 per cent off of the Recommended Retail Price or at a maximum discount of 20 per cent if the book is subject to the Fixed Book Price law.
Yes, the Feira offers a packed programme for children, young people, and families, which includes shows, workshops, games, story time, and book presentations. You’ll find daily sessions happening across the Courtyard of the Porto Municipal Gallery and inside the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library.
During the Feira do Livro do Porto or otherwise, dogs and other animals are not permitted inside the Palácio de Cristal Gardens, even if they are on a lead and have been properly vaccinated. This is a preventive measure to protect the animals that roam freely in the gardens, such as peacocks, ducks and other species naturally protected by the park.
An exception is made for assistance dogs, including guide dogs, whose right to access, stay in and circulate in public spaces is established by Decree-Law n.º 74/2007, of the 27th of March.
The Palácio de Cristal Gardens offer some food options, including a restaurant inside the Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota and a café inside the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library.
